GM scripts, user scripts Greasemonkey ... WHAT ?!

- Here's an explanation step by step, starting ...
... basics:

1. What is a script?
So-called Userscript / Script / GM-Script and everything else that a "script" contains are small text files for browser games that change the look of a web page or add small features that only concern the design of a web page, for example. Color markings on the map (http://forum.de.grepolis.com/showthread.php?t=5915), message formatter (http://forum.de.grepolis.com/showthread.php?t=4474) or Similarly. They work in different ways, so you should protect them from malicious scripts during installation.

2. And what is "GM"?
GM stands for Greasemonkey - a small add-on (browser extension [= "Internet display program such as Internet Explorer]" FireFox "from Mozilla) that allows" playback "of such scripts, and is therefore required for the above browser Simply click here Install and then click Yes in the dialog: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/748
It's certainly safe and used by thousands, although of course I have no guarantee or anything,
After installation, you must restart the browser as with all add-ons, but the window that appears also says so. Then, a small monkey head symbol should appear in the status bar at the bottom of the browser. If it is gray, it is deactivated, just click on it and it becomes colored, t. J. Activated.

3. Great, so something like that doesn't work with other browsers?
This is really the only downside, it is optimized only for FireFox. If you have the popular "Internet Explorer" from Microsoft, it's very difficult to get it, although switching to FireFox often makes more sense (kK in my opinion). In ASA, on the other hand, scripts cause fewer problems -> They can even be integrated without extensions. In the script text, only FireFox-typical terms are often used, with which Opera is often silent, so not everything is possible.

Here we go!
NOW ONLY FOR FIREFOX; OPERA NEXT!

4. Now I have read the boring beginning and I want to start now!
Then look for an interesting topic in the "Community Projects" forum. The link is usually listed in the first post (= post), just click on it. Then several things can happen:
A dialog box appears asking if you want to install the user script immediately. Just click "Yes".
Or you will be redirected to a page like this, you must - surprise - click on "Install" and then respond to the dialog box from above.
If you've successfully installed the script, usually within a few seconds, just refresh the page on which it works (usually Grepolis itself). Then read the thread (= topic) here in the forum about how it works and what you will need to configure.
